Liftvana is an offline-first workout and nutrition app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over your data. We keep it short because we collect little.
Who we are
Liftvana ("we", "us") provides the Liftvana mobile app and website. You can reach us at [email protected] for any privacy question or request.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and account identifier from Google; we never receive your Google password.
- Your fitness data — the workout plans, routines, exercises, sets, reps, weights, and nutrition/food logs you create in the app, plus preferences such as your weight unit.
- Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, request time, and app/browser type) generated when your device connects to our servers, used to operate and secure the service.
The app is offline-first: your data lives on your device and is only sent to our servers when it syncs so you can back it up and use it across devices.
How we use your information
- To provide the app — authenticate you, store your data, and sync it across your devices.
- To keep the service secure and diagnose problems.
- To contact you about your account if needed.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How your information is shared
We share personal data only as needed to run the service:
- Google — if you choose Google Sign-In, authentication is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.
- Legal — when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated plans, workouts, and logs at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app, or by emailing us. Data on our servers is removed promptly after deletion; data stored locally on your device is cleared when you log out or uninstall.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, and passwords are stored only as salted hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Children
Liftvana is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
